Description this is a formation called the slick rock .We couldn't understand why it was called slick for it is pretty rough. And then I got stuck in some altitude and I'd slide anytime I'd try to climb down. The slick rock

That's beautiful! Can I post some of them in our "regular" gallery? Do you have ANY comment on any of those? Like, where exactly, what were you doing and who's in the picture?

P.S. If you open Mullaj_M_20.jpg and look closely, there seems to be a UFO just left of the center of the picture....

This a small part of what Bill Clinton pronounced as a National Monument in 1996.Many locals were not very happy with this for it limits the resource extraction and grazing which is a good thing because it slows the erosion. If the cows were to eat the little grass grown in the desert everything would crumble .The over use of the limited resources in the desert caused the fall of several ancient cultures such as the Anasazi and other pueblos that populated the desert .A little advise to visitors and hikers ,try to hike around with a guide for it is very easy to get in the canyons and very difficult to get out of it.And don't forget ,rattle snakes and cougars really exist in the desert and they like you to stay...If you need to find a guide try Keith ,who is a geologist which makes him a perfect guide and a very good company.
