Last night, Montreal played host to the third edition of "The White Night" (La Nuit Blanche) - part of the yearly "Montréal En Lumière" festival program during which a variety of nighttime cultural activities take place in the city, often at reduced prices.

Just to give you an idea of the festivities, I'll tell you how my own "white" night unfolded.

Hey, I was there too! Wait, wasn't I one of the "SiteBits guys" you met at the museum? Of course.

A bright spot for me was the tea served at the museum. That was something even I was moved by, as opposed to the show itself. Unfortunately, we missed 5-à-7 vodka, but the tea was so good I am glad we came for that.

There's only one problem - I have no idea what kind of tea it was, and before I could ask, the tables and the tea people were gone! Talk about non-commercial spirit - they didn't even bother telling me the brand. As a consumer, I am pissed! That's right - they gave me two cups of excellent tea for free and I am pissed as hell because I don't know what it was and I don't know where to buy it. I want more!! Anybody have any idea?

Anyway, here's what Alban sent me from the museum night (Catherine 2nd exhibition). Good stuff:

It could very well be Catherine herself, in twenty-first century dress (sort of). She puts those royalty impersonators to shame.....was that Jerome dressed as Voltaire talking to Irazema?

Les Douceurs du Marche at the Marche Atwater has an extensive selection of "russian" blend teas - i'll see if i can find one for you that compares. did you try the museum shop?

(are museums in Quebec subsidized? that might explain their lack of product placement).
