Punta Cana Airport - Much Admiration and a Little Warning
Posted by mary in dominican-republic on Mar 24 2006

This is the welcoming facade of the first all-palm airport I have ever seen. It is a private airport in Punta Cana, with many charter flights full of passengers arriving daily to stay at the many resorts in Punta Cana. With direct flights to many locations in North America as well as Europe it is certainly a busy place, ecspecially on weekends!

I've heard the Santa Barbara, CA airport is covered in vines. Any other ideas for airports that don't really look like airports?

At the airport in P.C I think it was the first time i had to beg to buy an ice cream! The thing with this all-inclusive packages is that once your time is up nobody cares about you that much.We almost got stuck at the airport because they had sold more tickets then the capacity of the plane and many had to wait for the next plane..
