5th Arrondissement Landmarks
The Panthéon is not only the resting place of many Parisian intellectuals (Zola, Voltaire, Rousseau among them) but also the present home of the Foucault pendulum as well as the site of its first public demonstration.
The following are the landmarks in 5th Arrondissement that we profiled:
- Institut du Monde Arabe
- 1 Rue des Fossés-Saint-Bernard
The Institut is dedicated to promoting the arts and the culture of the Arab world. It includes a museum, cinema, library and language center. The building is starchitect Jean Nouvel's creation.
