Westmount - Montreal

Largely residential, noticeably affluent and almost completely anglophone - those are the basic parameters of Westmount that set it apart from other areas of Montreal. Actually, “other areas of Montreal” isn't even entirely accurate, since the municipality never formally joined the city (despite being surrounded by it on all sides).

Not particularly known for tourist attractions, Westmount nevertheless offers quite a few pleasant walking options, especitally if you’re into parks and greenery. Head down to Westmount Park, for example, or walk uphill from Rue Sherbrooke.
