One of the centers of cultural life in the early 20th century, the 9th arrondissement is centered on the Grands Boulevards neighborhood and houses many architectural masterpieces (the Opéra Garnier is perhaps one of the best-known). The 9th arrondissement has well-developed tourism infrastracture. Strolling Avenue de l'Opéra you'll immediately notice a plethora of foreign tourism outposts and airline ticket offices.
