ProfileThis arrondissement is mostly residential and few tourists
venture much deeper in its territory than the blocks
immediately to the south-west of
the Eiffel Tower.
Depending on your mindset, this could be disappointing or
refreshing. The 15th can be safely skipped on your first visit
to Paris, but if you want to see how the modern-day bourgeoisie
lives, it's worth a visit.
AttractionsAside from the much-discussed (and much-hated) Tour Montparnasse,
the 15th arrondissement is pretty low on landmarks.
HotelsThere are quite a few medium-size and several large hotels in the 15th
arrondissement and prices tend to be reasonable. The district
also has a lot more two-star establishments than its more centrally located and touristy neighbor, the 7th Arrondissement.
Many hotels target business visitors rather than tourists. Among large
business-class establishments,
Pullman Rive Gauche is one that stands out.
Unsurprisingly, quite a few chains opened hotels here - Novotel, Timhotel, Inter-Hotel, Pullman, Quality Hotel, Mercure, Holiday Inn are all represented.
