Profile
A century-old café with a classic decor. Famous for being the hangout of more than a dozen artists and intellectuals of the early 20th century.
Food
In the morning, in addition to the staple "coffee + croissant" breakfast, you can order a meal "à la française" (bread, double espresso, juice) or "à l'anglaise" (eggs).
Lunch and dinner menu are fairly typical of a brasserie, although special attention is paid to seafood.
Atmosphere
The classic 1910's Paris brasserie décor (plush banquettes, mirrors, etc) is in itself a reason to visit.
The clientele is split between tourists (Italians, Germans, Americans) and locals. In our brief, unscientific observation, the locals tend to read Le Figaro rather than Le Monde.
