Quartier International (International Quarter) - Montreal

District Profile
PhotosPlacesBlog

Located north-west of Old Montreal (Vieux Montréal), the Quartier International is a small ultra-modern neighborhood designed to attract both international businesses (much of the neighborhood consists of office buildings) and the jet-set crowd (the abovementioned office buildings are mixed with loft residences and chic hotels such as a the W).

The area is teeming with office working during the day (no wonder, given the skyscrapers choke-full of corporate offices around Square Victoria), but is not particularly lively after 6pm. There are, however, some restaurants and bars that remain open nearby on Rue McGill (although technically outside the area), the neighborhood is perfectly safe and the location puts you within walking distance of many of the city's attractions, so don't hesitate to choose Quartier International if you are visiting the city.
